Are you looking for a new couch or unique decor?
If so, Alexandria’s furniture stores have everything you need.
The city is a blend of classic charm and modern sophistication and is called a “Home Design Destination” by The Washington Post.
Shops near our Kingstowne apartments include:
Patina Polished Living
Since 2013, Patina has been the go-to place for one-of-a-kind items. It was named Best of Virginia earlier this year by Virginia Living. Owners Amanda Martins and Kimberly Weiler believe that every home should have a few unique pieces. They travel along the East Coast and throughout Europe in search of the best finds. The selection ranges from new to vintage, with choices including chests, Swedish mirrors, and New Orleans lanterns. Patina Polished Living is a 15-minute drive from our apartments.
Modern Contempo, located 15-minutes away, is where the furniture does the talking. The showroom features fine craftsmanship and is full of discontinued and overstock items from the company’s online store. The selection frequently changes, making each visit a treasure hunt. Shoppers find reasonable prices and a friendly staff that enjoys helping everyone find the perfect pieces for their homes. Choices include sculptures, wall art, and dining sets.
When Scott and Rachel Hughes quit their jobs in 1998, Creative Classics was born. The first location opened outside of Cleveland and sold home decor handmade by American artists. They brought the store to Alexandria after relocating. The couple quickly realized that Ohio-sized furniture didn’t fit in Old Town homes. That’s why they now offer pieces scaled down for apartment and townhouses. Everything is made in the United States, and choices include loveseats, dining tables, and nightstands. Creative Classics is just an 18-minute drive away.
